Another of THOSE Days
Sorry to be late, but this has been one of THOSE days, the days when real life explodes all over the carefully planned author's life.
A sick dog can't be postponed nearly as easily as a stack of work waiting to be done.
It goes without saying that this will be one of THOSE nights when I'll be working straight until "bedtime" and beyond.
The good real life news is that a certain dog seems to be doing much better after his vet visit.
As for author's life news, look for my story, "Adjusting Entries," coming soon in: http://www.lldreamspell.com/RomanceofmyDreams.html

'Bronze Lightning' out today
Here's the blurb and an excerpt from my forthcoming sensual historical romance, Bronze Lightning, set in ancient Krete, Egypt and England.
An excerpt and buy details can be seen here.
Ancient Krete, 1562 B.C.
Sarmatia is a trainer for the Bull Rite, the dangerous, glamorous ceremony of bull-leaping that gave a young Kretan entry into adulthood. Fearn is healer from the distant northern Isle of Stones summoned for his skills to the sick-bed of Minos, the Kretan king. They meet on the dusty flagstones of the palace courtyard and both save a life.
A year passes. They are betrothed, but Fearn has returned home and is chosen king of his small northern country. As king, master of storms, he cannot return to Krete. Fearn writes to Sarmatia releasing her from her vows - but is this what they really want?
Sarmatia leaves Krete to search for Fearn. Many months and life-and-death adventures later, she is reunited with him. She and Fearn are still deeply in love but there is an unknown enemy working against them, one who will stop at nothing, even murder.

Warm Up Exercises
I used to check e-mails or play a few games of Solitaire before tackling my daily writing.
My warm up sessions have changed to producing simple how to articles. Want to know how to save money, calories, and fat on fancy coffee drinks by making them yourself? Need to know how to care for an elderly relative? Perhaps you'd like to learn how to use a microplane or pick the perfect tomato. Prefer to eat out with perfectly behaved children or cook with them at home? Need to know how to transform a PDF file into a Word document?
Chances are you'll find what you're looking for by clicking on this link and browsing through the titles of my 60+ articles. http://www.ehow.com/Search.aspx?s=Susannerose&Options=
You can even rate the articles and/or leave a comment if you wish.
How do you get ready to write?
May the Muse be kind!!

New blogging words
By Maggie Toussaint with kudos to Francesca Prescott, Celia Yeary, and Lorraine Hunsaker
The topic of our Book Spa discussion was blogs, but not in the usual sense. We talked about blogs you’d like to be able to write (how famous I am), blogs you’d hate to write (I’m not as clever as I thought), blogs that irk you (I wrote my book in a week), and what makes you read a blog (friends, hook, author name). From there the discussion devolved into a wording adventure.
My friends helped me to develop a blogging lexicon. Here’s the list we came up with, our very own blexicon. The inventor of each word and definition is in parenthesis (m=maggie, f=francseca, c=celia, l=lorraine). Enjoy!

Blogdoggle - (m) a blog which wasn't worth your time to read
Bloghowdy- (m) a friendly blog, welcoming you in a quaint way
Blogbreath - (m) a cutting remark from one computer savvy teen to another
Underblog - (m) 1) the meaning when reading between the blog lines, or 2) the uncharitable ruler of the realm of blogs
Innerblog - (m) the space where bloggers go to rejuvenateBettablog -(m) my blog's betta than your blog
Blogaboo - (m) a tiny blog fib, not meant to hurt anyone, easily fixed by acomment
Blogitol - (m) the perfect pick-me-up for those over 70 bloggers
